Santa Rosa Roundup Parade and Rodeo

Every year, Vernon hosts the Santa Rosa Roundup Parade and Rodeo. The event includes a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) rodeo featuring legendary professional cowboys and cowgirls and Vernon’s own riding club, the Santa Rosa Palomino Club

The 2023 Santa Rosa Roundup Parade and Rodeo takes place from Wednesday, May 17th to Saturday, May 20th at the historical Santa Rosa Rodeo Grounds at 9973 Highway 183 South.

Red River Valley Museum International Art Show

The annual Red River Valley Museum International Art Show begins on June 2nd, 2023 with a reception. The exhibit will be open from Sunday, June 4th to Saturday, July 15th.

Summer’s Last Blast

Summer’s Last Blast is held every year on the second weekend in August. The three-day event is hosted by the Vernon Street Machine and Classics Association and features street rods, muscle cars and other classic cars. 

You and your family can enjoy a burnout contest, a show-n-shine pre-show, and an antique tractor and engine show. The grand finale is the Nostalgic Cruise Night, where you can watch gorgeous classic cars roam the street, accompanied by 50s, 60s, and 70s rock and roll hits.

This year’s event will be held from Thursday, August 10th to Saturday, August 12th.

Vernon Burnin’ Bike Ride

Right after Summer’s Last Blast, you can catch the Vernon Burnin’ Bike Ride on the third weekend of August. This bike ride is hosted by the Vernon Jaycees and features four Tour Routes: 12 miles, 22 miles, 33 miles and 62 miles. Whether you’re aiming to enjoy an early morning bike ride with others, win a prize or simply want to watch the race, you can check out the event on Saturday, August 19th at Vernon College.
